DECONSTRUCTING THE NORDIC WORKSPACE
The key to a harmonious workspace is space to think, a calmer working environment will improve productivity.
We deconstructed the elements of a Nordic workspace to help you achieve a clean aesthetic without compromising on function.
The air in the Nordic wild is some of the cleanest in the world, but if you’re stuck in the city bring the outside in and breathe a little purer. Choose something a little quirkier than the standard for your desk: incorporating sustainable technology with modern design, indoor gardens are becoming more popular in homes across the Nordics.
Tidy up electrical wires around your desk for a more uniform appearance. Try to think vertically as well as horizontally, attaching cords to the side of your desk means that they’re on hand without creating a mess.
Attach a current moleskine, sketchbook or magazine to the wall rather than leaving it to take up your surface space. Keep it simple with a loop of leather and a nail for an understated display.
For a clearer focus small items such as, pencils and lotions can all be stored on a tray. Trays made of natural materials such as stone and wood provide calming balance against laptops and computers made from metals and plastics.
