MEET SANDRA HAGELSTAM - OUR DIGITAL AMBASSADOR
After moving to London in 2009 to study Fashion Design and Marketing at London College of Fashion, 5 Inch and Up was founded in 2010 from Finnish-born Sandra’s love for fashion and high heels.
Today 5 Inch and Up is one of UK’s top fashion and beauty blogs as Sandra continues to inspire her readers as an influencer and designer. Working daily with her award-winning photographer, the focus is quality editorial-worthy content. With a constant change of scenery, Sandra is able to offer her readers an insight into her artistic and unique take on fashion, beauty, lifestyle and luxury travel.
"The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Lumene is the purity of our Finnish nature. A heritage built on Finnish honesty and authenticity, with the ingredients that I love and value. Lumene was all around me growing up. Whether is was my mother using their foundation (and she still is) or my first lipstick which came in that little blue tube, it was the brand to introduce me to make-up.
What made me get on board with the new launch was the chance of working with a beauty brand that stands for such authentic values, without compromising on the aesthetics or product quality. The new look of Lumene is set for an international audience, bringing forward and celebrating the best of Finland. The simplicity of the upgraded products are revolutionary to the saturated beauty market. I am familiar with the positive effects of the ingredients used, so speaking on behalf of Lumene comes natural to me.
Social media gives us the chance to bring out our individual personalities and has become an integral part of the beauty world. We have moved away from filtered photos, into a world of instant content; viewers increasingly want to follow real life situations. Hence, features on wellbeing and tutorials on how to get healthy, glowing skin have become some of the most sought after themes online. The #nomakeup pledge that is trending in social media speaks to all ages and paints a beautiful new beauty ideal of not being forced to cover up or fit into the norms. I hope to see more of this!”.
