Sauna has been an essential part of wellbeing for Tiina Vainio since she was a little girl. Her summers were spent at her father's cottage and its traditional smoke sauna. It was in that comforting warmth that Tiina felt connected to something ancient – an unbroken tradition that has nurtured people for centuries. To cherish that ritual Tiina gave it a modern twist by inventing Sauna Yoga; a gentle series of movements that melt away any stress and tension.

"I don't always have sauna available, especially when I travel. That's why I've created my own 'dry land sauna' that helps me relax. I massage my palms and the soles of my feet with a little massage ball to get the blood flowing – just like sauna does. Or I might lie on an acupressure mat and put the Lumene's Ultra Sensitive Moisturizing & Calming Face Mask on and just breathe. I believe a relaxed person is happy person and a happy person is beautiful."
"I really believe that good fats are my liquid face lift. I eat a lot of avocados, seeds and nuts, and add plant-based oils such as Rapeseed, Hemp, Camelina, Coconut and Almond in my smoothies. I also use oils externally and keep the ends of my hair in good condition by massaging in a few drops of Lumene's Arctic Berry Cocktail Brightening Facial Oil".

"I use green tea as a toner because it has a lot of antioxidants that are good for the skin. I make a cup of tea the day before and leave it in a fridge with a lid on. In the morning I dip some clean cotton pads in the cold tea and wipe them across my face and neck. If I have any puffiness I leave the pads over my eyes for a moment".
"I only wash my hair once a week but when I do, I make the most of it. After shampooing I put on lots of my favourite conditioner and give my scalp a good massage. Then I wrap a towel around my head and let the conditioner really sink in while I drink coffee and read the papers. If I'm in a sauna, I let the gentle warmth do the trick while I lean back and relax."
"Red and green apples contain lots of natural acids that clean and peel the skin gently. A really easy way to use an apple is to massage the skin with a few cold slices for a couple of minutes. You can feel how it refreshes the skin, improves circulation and banishes any puffiness." Read more about Tiina and Sauna Yoga here: www.saunayoga.com/en
