Differences between serums
- Consistency: Most serums have a fluid, watery consistency or a light creamy texture. They can contain oil or be oil-free. Depending on the consistency the bottle may have a dropper or a pump. There are also serums that are firmer with a more concentrated texture that are applied with fingers like a cream. The consistency is not indicative to the efficacy of the serum. A hyaluronic acid serum may feel light but it delivers potent hydration to the skin. LUMENE has light as well as nourishing serums both of which are easy to apply and absorb well.
- Ingredients: Some of the potent, hydrating ingredients used in serums include hyaluronic acid, pure Arctic spring water, organic Nordic birch sap and betaine. Serums have also vitamin C and Nordic cloudberry for glow boosting effect, pre-retinol to boost skin’s renewal as well as copper peptide to support skin’s nightly recovery process. An exfoliating serum has gentle AHA acids from fermented Nordic cloudberries for gentle exfoliation. PHA acids are another gentle ingredient.
